All individuals should have the opportunity to participate in recreational programs. Blue Valley Rec is proud to offer Inclusive Rec opportunities in Overland Park. These programs enhance quality of life while fostering a community of respect, acceptance, and inclusion. These inclusive rec activities for youth and adults focus on curiosity, self-awareness, courage, and empathy. We also encourage you to consider any of our programs as we provide assistance upon request. The Blue Valley Blue Streaks is our local inclusive rec team that participates in local, state, and regional events throughout the year.
We take Inclusive Rec Opportunities in Overland Park very serious. Many activities are offered year-round while some are season-specific. To help with any challenges, we are happy to provide assistance for participants upon request. Please make sure to complete and submit our Assistance Request Form prior to registering for a class/activity.
Social Skills
Whether you attend one of our dances are like a more controlled group with Club 18, our Inclusive Rec social classes are the perfect place to meet new acquaintances and connect with trusted friends.

Explore your creative side through art history, projects, techniques, and hands-on learning.
Fitness
We help you take control of your own health while making it fun to exercise. A variety of classes offer something for every fitness level.
Life Skills
You will take a step towards successful independent cooking while learning how to make fun and delicious treats and eats.
The Blue Streaks compete in various sports throughout the season. All competitors MUST have a current physical form on file before participating. One jersey is provided with an additional charge for any replacement jersey.

Competitions
Our Blue Streaks enjoy fun competitions against area athletes throughout the year.
All Blue Valley Blue Streaks athletes must have an updated Athlete Medical Release/Physical Form on file.
Blue Valley Recreation and its partners reserve the right to use all photographs and video of participants for promotional purposes, including print, digital, advertisements, and social media promotions. This includes drone footage.
Assistance is provided for participants upon request. A completed Assistance Request Form must be submitted prior to registering for a class/activity.
